The Prairie Relays entered 2026 as the second oldest continuously run outdoors invitational in Wisconsin with the meeting dating back to its first running on April 26, 1954. The Prairie du Chien Boys Track team entered the 73rd running of the meet this past Tuesday, April 21 looking to make some noise and possibly place first at the meet for the first time since 1983.
The Hawks did just that as the PdC boys team outlasted second place Platteville to claim the program’s first Prairie Relays team title in 43 years. PdC scored 115.0 points while the Hillmen were second in the 14-team meet with 96.50 points.

400 Meter Dash - 1. Landon Smith (52.89).
800 Meter Dash - 3. Smith (2:12.16).
1600 Meter Run - 3. Sam Kramer (4:40.03).
4x100 Meter Relay - 2. Garrett DeHart, Radloff, Ashton Landt, Deacon Chesebro (44.16).
4x200 Meter Relay - 1. Radloff, DeHart, Landt, Chesebro (1:33.77).
800 Sprint Medley - 3. Ezra Westbrook, Chesebro, Adrian Morales, DeHart (1:42.04).
Pole Vault - 2. Easton Cejka (11-06.00).
Long Jump - 3. DeHart (19-09.25).
Shot Put - 1. Steven Duha (45-03.00).
Discus - 2. Duha (143-10.25).
On the girls side, the Hawks finished in ninth place with 33.50 points and got top three finishes in these events -
100 Meter Dash - 3. Aspen Gelo (13.38).
400 Meter Dash - 1. Gelo (1:04.41).
Shot Put - 2. Emory Campbell (35-02.00).
The Hawks traveled to Boscobel two nights later for the annual Bulldog Relays and the boys team scored 77 points to finish in a tie for first place with River Ridge. This marked the third consecutive invitational that the PdC boys had placed first at, marking the first time since 1983 that the program had done so in the same season.

3x110 Meter Shuttle Hurdle Relay - 2. Asher Pitzer, Joey Kramer, Ezra Mask (1:02.65).
High Jump - T-3. Radloff (5-10.00).
Long Jump - 1. DeHart (19-06.00), 3. Radloff (18-02.75).
Shot Put - 2. Duha (45-01.00).
Discus - 2. Duha (136-05).
The PdC girls placed third out of 11 teams with 60.0 points and got top three finishes in these events -
3x100 Meter Shuttle Hurdle - 2. Emily Konichek, Lyla Redman, Paisley Dressler (1:01.88).
High Jump - T-3. Dressler (4-10.00).
The Hawks took a smaller number of participants the next night to the Platteville Invitational. The boys placed 12th with 4.0 points, while the girls tied for eighth place with 4.0 points as well.
Finally, the week concluded for PdC Track this past Saturday when they attended the Knights of Columbus Relays Meets, hosted by La Crosse Aquinas at UW-La Crosse’s Veterans Memorial Stadium. No team scores are kept at this 29-team meet but here are top ten finishes by the Hawks -

The Hawks have a much lighter week schedule wise this week. Following last night’s SWC Mid-Season Meet at Richland Center, the Hawks will travel to Cuba City tomorrow night for the Christopher Becker Memorial Invitational starting at 4 p.m.
