Seneca Tracksters compete at Kickapoo, Boscobel Meets

The Seneca Royals Track & Field team traveled to a pair of meets this past week. First up for the Royals was the Lee Griffin Invitational at Kickapoo High School last Tuesday, April 21. The Royal boys placed 10th with 27.0 points, while the girls team placed 14th out of 15 teams with 2.0 points.

Seneca got top-10 finishes in these events -

Boys 110 Meter Hurdles - 1. Aidan Payne (16.16).
Boys 300 Meter Hurdles - 2. Payne (43.99).
Boys 4x100 Meter Relay - 6. Scott Brown, Jonathan Morrick-Brouillette, Grant Sime, Gavyn Wilkins (49.43).
Boys High Jump - 3. Payne (5-10.00).
Girls Discus - 7. Lenee Schaefer (87-02).

The Royals then traveled to Boscobel two nights later for the Bulldog Relays. The Seneca boys placed sixth with 39.0 points, while the girls were 11th with zero points.

Top-10 finishes for the Royals at the Bulldog Relays were -

Boys 300 Meter Hurdles - 1. Payne (43.27), 6. Brown (48.33).
Boys 4x100 Meter Relay - 5. Brown, Morrick-Brouillette, Sime, Wilkins (48.46).
Boys 800 Sprint Medley Relay - 6. Brown, Morrick-Brouillette, Payne, Wilkins (1:47.36).
Boys 3x110 Meter Shuttle Relay - 1. Payne, Richard Cable, Reid Hamann (1:02.06).
Boys High Jump - 1. Payne (6-04.00).
Boys Long Jump - T-10. Morrick-Brouillette (16-09.50).

Seneca track has a busy week of competition scheduled ahead of them with three competitions in three days. The Royals will travel to North Crawford tomorrow night, River Ridge on Friday night and to Riverdale on Saturday morning.
