The Bluegold defense was suffocating, allowing negative seven yards of total offense in the game.
The Bluegolds (7-2 overall, 5-2 in the Six Rivers) received the number three seed in section two in D7. They will host six seed Ithaca (5-4 overall, 4-3 in the Scenic Bluffs) this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in Wauzeka in a rematch of their week two game that they won 43-14 thanks in big part to a 30-point second half by S-W-S. The winner will advance to face the winner of the game between second seed Hilbert and seventh seed Pittsville.
The S-W-S co-op is looking for their second playoff win ever as a program, and their first since 2017 when they defeated De Soto 16-0 in the first home playoff game in program history. The Bluegolds hosted another level one playoff game the following year in Seneca against Cuba City. The Cubans outlasted the Bluegolds 35-34 in overtime in that game.
