Much like the Seneca Royals girls basketball team, the Royal boys also only played one game last week. The Royal boys traveled to Ithaca last Thursday, Jan. 15 to take on the Bulldogs looking for another conference victory but the hosts slipped past Seneca 60-58.

The Royals had three players reach double figures in scoring with Jackson Konichek leading the way with 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Konichek also led the team in rebounding with nine rebounds. Also reaching double figures in points for the Royals was Gage Wall with 14 points and Hunter Hagensick with 10 points. Kaden Roberts and Owen George each added eight points in the loss, while Carson Sime added three points to round out the scoring for Seneca.

The Royals dropped to 4-7 overall and 1-4 in the Ridge & Valley Conference with the loss, while Ithaca improved to 5-6 overall and 2-3 in the Ridge & Valley Conference thanks to the win. Seneca returned to the court this past Tuesday night, Jan. 20 when they hosted Weston before traveling to La Farge this Friday night with game time scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
