Returning to the  court for the first time in eight days, the Prairie du Chien boys basketball team was back on the road last Tuesday night, Dec. 30 when they went to Richland Center for a make-up game with the Hornets.

The hosts came out on fire, taking a 40-14 lead into halftime. The Hawks responded in the second half by out scoring the Hornets 31-24 but Richland Center prevailed 64-45.

The Hawks then welcomed Black River Falls to town this past Friday night. Prairie cut down a seven-point deficit early in the first nine minutes of the second half to two at several times including at 45-43 with just over eight minutes left in regulation. 

The visiting Tigers though found a second wind and outscored the Hawks 41-16 down the stretch to defeat the Hawks 86-59. Black River Falls improved to 7-3 overall with the win, while PdC dropped to  0-8. Stats for both games were not available as of press time.

Prairie du Chien was back on the road at La Crosse Logan (0-6) this past Tuesday night before returning to conference play this Friday night when they head to Spring Green to take on the River Valley Blackhawks.
