PdC drops games at Logan, River Valley

The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks boys basketball team hit the road last week for a pair of games. First up for Prairie was a trip to La Crosse last Tuesday, Jan. 6 to take on the Logan Rangers. 

The host Rangers took a 36-23 lead to halftime before pulling away in the second half to claim a 85-58 win over the Hawks. Stats from this game were not available as of press time. PdC dropped to 0-9 with the loss while Logan improved to 1-6 with the win.

Prairie du Chien finished the week by traveling to Spring Green last Friday to take on the River Valley Blackhawks. The hosts used a 22-4 run during the first half en route to taking a 38-18 halftime advantage.

The Hawks made the second half much more competitive as River Valley outscored the Hawks 31-27 to claim a 69-45 victory over PdC. Stats from this game were not available as of press time. River Valley improved to 6-4 overall and 1-2 in the SWC, while PdC dropped to 0-10 overall and 0-3 in the SWC.

The Hawks began this week by hosting the Coulee Christian/Providence Academy co-op this past Tuesday night before hosting Lancaster this Thursday night. Prairie du Chien concludes the week by traveling to Waverly-Shell Rock, Iowa this Saturday for a non-conference contest that starts at 2:30 p.m.
