Pair of local runners finish season at 2025 WIAA State Cross Country Meet

A pair of local cross country runners wrapped up the fall sports season this past Saturday when they competed at the 2025 WIAA State Cross Country Meet at the Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.

Prairie du Chien senior Sam Kramer and River Ridge sophomore foreign exchange student Alix Van Butsele race in the D3 boys and girls races. Kramer took to the course first at noon, finishing his high school career in 54th place overall out of 151 runners in a time of 17:46.

Van Butsele concluded her season at 1:45 p.m. with a 34th place finish (out of 152 runners) in a time of 20:19).
