Suzanne J. Steldt of Blue River passed away on October 9th, surrounded by her children at Schmidt Woodland Hills. She bravely fought a short battle with metastasized colon cancer. Suzanne was the beloved wife of the late Curt Steldt and a devoted mother to Lucas Steldt his wife Nicole their children Brock, Avery, Colton, her son Jeff Steldt, daughter Tracy Troxel husband Jesse their children Jade, Junior, Jaxson, her son Chad Steldt wife Brooke their children Tristan, Whitney Kennedy. She was the cherished daughter of Elise and Edward Strand born on July 7, 1950, and a dear sister to Leonard, Mary, and Nancy. .
Suzanne also leaves behind her brother-in-law Howie his wife Audrey Steldt, John his wife
Suzanne, and Lisa husband Johnny Agee, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Suzanne dedicated 40 years of her life working as a registered x-ray technician. Following her retirement, she continued to serve others as a personal care worker. She also worked seasonally at Wilson Nursery and Sunrise Orchards. Her most cherished role was giving tours at the historic Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, who kept her busy attending their sporting events, school functions, and dance recitals. Recently, she celebrated the marriage of her oldest grandson, Brock, to Nicole Strang. Suzanne had a passion for theater and music, which she rekindled through her involvement in Community Players. She graduated from "clown college" and brought joy to community events, local parades, hospitals and nursing homes. In a touching tribute, her friends from the local congregation returned the favor by visiting her during her stay at Schmidt Woodland Hills. She was actively involved in food drives, winter clothes collections and other community outreach programs. Suzanne believed that the best adventures could be found in books. She enjoyed her yard filled with bird feeders that attracted a variety of Wisconsin wildlife. Suzanne was a dedicated member of the Richland Center congregation as a baptized Jehovah's Witness. Her one-of-a-kind laugh and warm presence will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Celebration of life will be hosted by Sue’s children, Lucas, Jeff, Tracy, and Chad at The Dousman House, 230 N Water St, Prairie du Chien, WI 53821 on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, 4 p.m. – Cocktail Hour, 5 p.m. – Dinner, Stories, and Video. The celebration continues into the evening with music and dancing.
